Pleasant Groove
Poetry Feasts and Dream Zines
Recent Work:
A poetry open mic hosted by Priscilla Rice, Tamitha and Chris Curiel, with Leo Diaz running lights and sound. We open the evening with music and a feature poet. Then we open the mic to the Pleasant Grive community. We share words, snacks, spirits and sounds in the black box theatre of the Pleasant Grove Library from 6:00-8:00 usually, on the second Saturday of the month.
Press:
"Tamitha Curiel, a poet living in Pleasant Grove, has done a series of readings on Saturday nights in the same black box."
Dallas Poetry Project kicks off April 7th with Pop-up Poetry, which will occur in various locations across Dallas. All day long, local poets and artsists, popped up unconvenitonal spaces such as the South Dallas Car, Wash, Rainbow Donuts, Fiesta and more.
